References — upload, pick, or generate

Image

The greenfield image path: a required reference used to live as an upload-only slot. E4c turns each reference into an actionable GenerationResource — upload it, pick it from your library, or generate it inline on Higgsfield. Whatever fills the node persists into the media-request generationSpec.resources.

References — what the image must include
The real assets fed into the generation: your logo, the actual product, a person, a location… Every reference had to come from your own files.

Generate runs Higgsfield via your media connector — creds resolve through resolveMediaProviderKey and it spends a media credit. Upload and Pick from library are free.

Pick-from-library reuses an asset you already own — no generation, no spend.

Image references were upload-only; E4c adds per-reference Generate (Higgsfield) + Pick-from-library, closing the gap. Generated / picked / uploaded assets persist into the media-request generationSpec.resources and deliver through the existing path.

Generating a reference is flat: the produced asset fills the Product node directly — it never opens a nested checklist of its own. Compose/refine text for that inline generator is free; only the Generate click spends a media credit.
