The studio continues your slide plan

Carousel Meta Ads

A carousel is an ordered set of single-image slides. The planner already laid out the set — theme & on-card text per slide. The Carousel Studio continues that same plan, seeding each planned slide into the slide rail ready to compose. The request is the source of truth — the studio doesn't re-plan, it picks up where the planner left off.

The plan-seam request = source of truth
The same planned set on both sides of the seam: the planner authored the carousel as a list of {theme · textOverlay} cards; the studio seeds each one into the slide rail (theme → label), ready for the per-slide engine. No re-planning — just continuity.
Planner · Social post
The planned carousel set — 4 cards, ordered. Each card carries a theme and its on-card text overlay.

Fallback · standalone request with no planned set empty studio
When a carousel request arrives with no planned set — e.g. created directly in the studio, not from a Social plan — there's nothing to seed. The studio shows the Draft storyboard empty-state so AI can propose the slide set, then you compose each slide.
Draft the storyboard with AI

No planner plan backs this request, so the slide rail is empty. From the brief, AI proposes the slide count and a theme + on-card text overlay for each slide — seeding the rail just like a planner plan would.

AI-drafted slides land in the same flat slide rail and open the same per-slide engine — the only difference is where the seed came from.
Seeded from the planner plan when the studio is empty (seed-when-empty). It never clobbers your edits or already-generated slides — once you've composed or generated a slide, re-opening the request leaves it untouched. Re-planning the whole set (adding/removing/re-ordering cards from scratch) stays out of scope for the studio — that lives in the planner. The request remains the source of truth.

Seeding reads the plan on the free text path — no media credit. Credits are only spent later, when you Generate a slide image in the per-slide engine via your Higgsfield connector (resolveMediaProviderKey).
